Biography
Ville Niiranen is an editorial and documentary photographer based in London and Zürich.
Photography has been part of Ville’s life since his youth and transformed into a vocation in 2014 after he put an end to his first career in finance. His early photographic journey saw him traversing across the Alps documenting skiing and outdoor activities for various editorial publications, before moving into the current field of editorial and documentary work.
Although known for his interest in social and environmental projects, Ville also operates an active commercial practice working on wide range of commissions internationally.
His images have appeared in publications in France, Sweden, Canada, the UK and the US.
Ville holds an MA in Commercial Photography from London College of Communication, UAL (2023) and is a recent winner of Portrait of Britain (2023).
